Carpenter / Experienced Construction Laborer
Assignment Location: Catalina Island CA
Project Duration: Approximately 1 year
Pay: Open based on experience and qualifications - $28/hr
Note: Candidate may start pending background check and drug screen but must pass both to remain on assignment.
Project Overview
This is a long term construction project on Catalina Island supporting critical generator infrastructure for a major Southern California utility.
Scope includes removal of two existing generators demolition of concrete pads and full rebuild. Generator removal is handled by a crane subcontractor. The onsite team handles concrete demolition form work and replacement.
Additional scope includes steel railings steel stairs and minor generator housing. All work is performed within a tight controlled footprint alongside utility personnel.
Position Summary
Seeking a skilled Carpenter or experienced Construction Laborer with strong form work rebar and conduit installation experience. You must be flexible and comfortable rotating between duties as the job demands.
This is a project based role only. No permanent conversion.
Daily Duties
- Rebar installation
- Form work for concrete pours
- Conduit installation
- General construction site labor
Current phase does not require lift work. Focus is on building forms and preparing for a large concrete pour.
Daily coordination occurs with the utility project team. Tailboard meetings happen as needed when crews are redirected onsite.
