SENIOR COOK: Responsible for the preparation and/or cooking of food within a specific Food Service Unit or the main kitchen located in our theme parks or CityWalk.
NEW starting rate for Senior Cooks: $23.00/hour
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stocks materials and supplies in hot/cold and dry areas. Maintains all Cost of Goods control tools by performing quarterly updating of control cards inventory packages recipe books. Performs daily spot checks of all portioning tools. Provides daily documenting and recording of product spoilage.
- Performs cooking duties and related production functions. Ensures high food quality level that meets Universal Orlando standards.
- Maintains a clean work area and immediate surrounding area. Ensures compliance of the State of Floridas HACCP program.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED preferred.
- Completion of Chefs apprentice or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- One to two years of high-volume experience as a Line Cook required.
- Must have knowledge of cooking processes; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
