Summary:
We are seeking motivated Labourers/Operators to join our Transport and Infrastructure division supporting critical road maintenance and renewal projects across Auckland. You will work as part of a structured crew contributing to civil construction activities including machine operation concrete and pavement work and general site tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with a range of construction and road maintenance tasks across the transport network
- Operate machinery and equipment including excavators rollers skid steers and trucks where licensed and competent
- Utilize hand tools and perform manual labouring tasks as required
- Adhere to all site Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards and maintain safe working practices
- Support traffic management setups and worksite preparation
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless operations
- Complete assigned daily tasks within scheduled timelines
- Be available for occasional weekend or on-call work as per rostered requirements
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 drivers licence (Class 2 required for heavy vehicle operation)
- 3 years of experience in civil construction or machinery operation
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong reliability work ethic and demonstrated teamwork skills
- Commitment to following safety protocols and promoting a safe worksite culture
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour tasks
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- WTR (Workplace Transport and Road) endorsements
- Experience working in road construction or maintenance environments
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of plant and equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the role
