Join our Dynamic Energy Transfer (DET) Product Development team where were redefining how energy flows through mining and heavy equipment systems. DET is at the forefront of Caterpillars innovation enabling efficient power distribution to machines to maximize performance and lower total cost of ownership. Our mission is to deliver products that meet the highest standards of safety reliability and efficiency through well-planned validation strategies. We dont just design energy transfer systems we ensure they perform flawlessly in the toughest real-world conditions.

This is a unique opportunity for an engineer who wants to shape how complex systems are this role youll collaborate with design manufacturing and customer-facing teams to define validation strategies develop test plans and ensure product quality throughout development. You will be responsible for creating validation processes for a new Caterpillar product coordinating execution at the Tucson Proving Ground and customer sites and driving alignment across stakeholders.

What Youll Do

  • Lead validation planning efforts across the full product lifecycle from concept through production ensuring designs meet performance durability and safety requirements.

  • Develop and improve testing strategies processes and tools to maximize efficiency reliability and cost-effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues ensure design acceptance and achieve manufacturing readiness.

  • Adopt emerging technologies (automation robotics advanced simulation) to enhance validation capabilities.

  • Monitor and analyze test results machine performance and process reliability; recommend corrective actions and improvements.

  • Drive continuous improvement in validation methodologies and quality assurance practices.

  • Mentor and guide teams on best practices for testing and troubleshooting complex technical challenges.

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Materials Science) or related field.

Additional Information

This position requires full-time work at the Tucson Mining Center.

10-25% travel may be required.

Summary Pay Range:

$110520.00 - $165840.00
