Job Purpose
Kingston Council is seeking a proactive and organised Business Support Officer to support the Revenue and Benefits service covering Council Tax Housing Benefits and Business Rates (NNDR).
This is a key administrative role within a small friendly and busy team providing essential support to ensure the smooth running of the service.
Key Responsibilities
Sort and scan incoming post accurately and efficiently
Index post and emails onto the NEC Revenue and Benefits system
Triage incoming emails relating to Council Tax Housing Benefits and Business Rates (NNDR)
Run and distribute various reports from the DWP portal and for the Revenue and Benefits team
Provide general business and administrative support to the service
Support the team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required
Requirements
Good IT skills
Strong general administrative skills
Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
Good attention to detail and organisational skills
A proactive self-starting approach to work
Basic DBS Check/Willing to undergo one
