In this role you will play a critical part in delivering comprehensive medical care to patients in emergency situations. You will collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes while managing diverse medical cases. Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients in emergency situations
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop treatment plans
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
- Provide patient education and counseling regarding health conditions
- Respond to medical emergencies with urgency and professionalism
- Stay updated on best practices and protocols in emergency medicine
- Participate in continuing education and training opportunities
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Nursing or Physician Assistant studies
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Previous experience in emergency medicine or acute care settings preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical software and electronic health records
- Current CPR and BLS certifications
Schedule: 7a-7p 2p-10p or 7p-7a
No call requirement
Level III Trauma
Setting: Hospital and free-standing ED
Annual Volume: 40000 patients total
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
