DescriptionReporting to the Assistant Dean of Pre-College while working closing with the Academic Affairs Supervisor and Performance Activities and Ensembles Supervisor the Pre-College Program Operations Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth delivery of the Pre-College program. This role assists in student services event execution and day-to-day program logistics with a required presence during Saturday instructional activities.
Responsibilities
- Supports the preparation and on-site execution of Pre-College events including but not limited to Orientation and the Commencement Ceremony coordinatingwith relevant departments preparing event materials and managing logistics.
- Assists in new student assessments and semesterly course registration processes under the guidance of the Assistant Dean.
- Manages communication with parents via phone and email during working hours ensuring consistent and professional correspondence.
- Coordinates with Public Safety on student and visitor entry procedures for weekend activities.
- Assists with student finance-related requests and maintains accurate student records in designated systems.
- Tracks chorus and ensemble attendance and follows up via phone as needed.
- Monitors and manages Asimut system auto-cancellations coordinating follow-up communication and resolution.
- Supports the preparation and printing of concert programs scores and Saturday instructional materials.
- Updates content for designated display screens on a monthly basis.
- Arranges usher assignments for events and provides general on-site support during Saturday program operations.
- Assists with social media postings under the supervision of theAssistant Dean.
- Performs other administrative and logistical tasks as assigned to support program operations.
Qualifications
- Current university student or graduate able to commit to a consistent part-time schedule with mandatory availability on Saturdays.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint).
- Proactive service-oriented and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in music performance/education student services event coordination or administrative support is preferred.
Schedule & Location
- Part-time approximately 20-24 hours per week (schedule negotiablemust include Saturdays).
- Primary work location: Tianjin Juilliard School
Proposed salary range: 45rmb/hour for entry-level candidates and 75rmb/hour for candidates with prior experience.
