Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- System Management: Install configure and maintain servers and systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware software and network-related issues in a timely manner.
- Security & Backup: Implement and maintain security protocols and data backups. Ensure systems are secure from unauthorized access and data loss.
- Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Regularly monitor systems and servers for issues and proactively improve their performance and efficiency.
- Updates & Patching: Install and configure system updates and security patches to keep all systems current and secure.
- Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations procedures and troubleshooting guides.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members developers and project managers to implement new technologies and solutions.
- Disaster Recovery: Help develop implement and test disaster recovery procedures and business continuity plans.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows Linux) network protocols and server management.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of system monitoring tools and performance tuning.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues with both hardware and software.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with networking hardware (routers switches firewalls etc.).
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery systems.
- Familiarity with database administration.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with occasional after-hours support required.
- May require some on-call support during nights and weekends for critical system issues.
- May require some travel to production facilities.
