Outpatient Clinical Dietitian Make a Meaningful Impact Through Nutrition

As aClinical Dietitian in the Family Center youll be an essential part of a mission-driven team applying evidence-basedMedical Nutrition Therapy (MNT)to promote wellness manage disease and restore health. Guided by our Mission and Core Values youll help shape the future of patient care through compassionate collaborative and expert nutrition services.

What Youll Do:

As an Outpatient Clinical Dietitian youll be a vital member of the interdisciplinary care team providing expert nutrition services that promote wellness and improve outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments.
  • Developing implementing and monitoring individualized nutrition care plans.
  • Providing nutrition education and counseling for patients in both individual and group settings.
  • Collaborating with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinateMedical Nutrition Therapy.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of interventions and ensuring continuity of care through clear documentation and hand-offs.
  • Educating patients and families with meaningful science-based nutrition guidance.
  • Serving as a resource and educator for internal teams and external partners.
  • Assisting in Family Center Food Pantry and other hospital initiatives surrounding food insecurity.
  • Supporting initiatives inpatient satisfaction quality improvement performance excellence and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Dietetics Food and Nutrition or a related field is required - Masters Degree preferred.

  • Must be a Registered Dietitian or RD eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. If RD-eligible must pass the examination and registration for RD designation within 90-days of hire.

  • If working in the outpatient environment licensure in both states of Oregon and Idaho are required.

  • Must be licensed in state of employees primary work location within 90 days of hire.

  • 3-5 years of clinical nutrition experience is preferred.

  • Must be proficient in using an EHR/EMR system.

  • Translate complex nutrition science into practical personalized care.

  • Deliver engaging in-services and educational sessions for healthcare staff.

  • Maintain compliance withAcademy of Nutrition and Dietetics Scope and Standard of Practice state licensure laws and organizational policies.

  • Be adaptable and open to additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
