Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious CDL Driver to join our operations team. This dual-role position includes transporting goods between facilities or customers and assisting with warehouse functions such as loading/unloading inventory handling and maintaining an organized work environment. The CDL Driver plays a key role in supporting logistics warehouse operations and ensuring safe timely and efficient material handling.
Responsibilities:
- Operate company trucks (Class A or Class A with ELO restrictions) to deliver or pick up goods as scheduled.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards.
- Secure cargo safely and ensure accurate documentation for all deliveries and pickups.
- Follow all DOT and company safety protocols during transportation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding schedules delays or issues.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks using pallet jacks forklifts or manual handling.
- Verify and document shipments; maintain accuracy in inventory systems.
- Support warehouse activities including storage cycle counts and general upkeep.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse layout.
- Participate in safety meetings and required training.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL (Class A) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification is a plus).
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and basic vehicle maintenance.
- Reliable punctual and safety-focused.
- Strong work ethic with a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments in varying conditions.
- Flexibility for early mornings evenings or occasional weekends based on delivery schedules.
