About The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated leader to join our Compliance Services team as the Team Leader Local Laws Compliance Animal Management.

In this role you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Local Laws Compliance Officers providing frontline supervisory support expert direction and technical guidance in animal management investigations inspection monitoring enforcement activities and customer consultation. You will also oversee operations at Councils Animal Management Facility and assist with the preparation of court and tribunal briefs where required.

This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role in ensuring compliance with relevant Local Laws and State legislation while supporting positive community outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

• Extensive knowledge and experience of current local government Local Laws and associated State legislation.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with strong negotiation ability.
• Demonstrated high-level knowledge and experience in conflict resolution.
• Qualifications in Local Government Compliance (Certificate IV) or equivalent.
• Proven supervisory experience managing and directing staff.
• Extensive knowledge of current Queensland animal management practices and relevant legislation.
