Job Overview
AEVEX Aerospace seeks an experienced detail-oriented Subcontract Administrator to support multiplebusiness units in a dynamic and fast paced manufacturing environment. This role is a full time on-siteposition or remote position. The Subcontract Administrator works with the AEVEX team of procurementprofessionals in support of DoD programs to assure compliance with applicable procedures regulationsand legal requirements including FAR/DFARs and International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR). Weare seeking a motivated self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team in a dynamicenvironment. Candidate must have knowledge of various contract types knowledge and application ofTINA and CAS along with good verbal and written communication skills. Under limited supervision theSubcontracts Administrator is responsible for activities that span the entire procurement cycle includingbut not limited to: negotiation of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and teaming agreementspreparation of solicitation packages to subcontractors evaluation of subcontractor proposals priceanalysis negotiation of terms and conditions subcontract administration issue resolution and closeoutactivities.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for review and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
- Responsible for Proposal support of multiple business units
- Responsible for source selection and finding suppliers and vendors that meet the goals of thecompany
- Accountable for establishing and maintaining procurement parameters in MRP system
- Responsible for supporting make v buy recommendations consistent with business make v buystrategy
- Responsible for developing sound cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of goods andservices used across business units
- Responsible for Maintaining relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additionalvendors
- Accountable for evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance thequality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries
- Responsible for communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goodsand services affecting production
- Assure compliance with applicable procedures regulations and legal requirements includingFAR/DFARS and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
- Negotiates NDAs and Teaming Agreements Terms and Conditions and Proposed Pricing
- Creates RFP solicitations in accordance with Government and AEVEX requirements and ensureresponses meet all TINA requirements.
- Evaluates supplier proposal responses and performs detailed proposal analyses sourceselections.
- Analyze risks and identify risk mitigation.
- Acts as primary interface between subcontractors and the programs being supported for allsubcontracts related issues regularly interacts with program management contracts projectcontrol finance business development.
- Administers subcontracts of various types (FFP/Cost-type etc.) and complexity assuringcompliance with AEVEX procurement procedures and contractual obligations for price deliveryquality and performance.
- Accountable for conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement
- Responsible for working closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts andterms are favorable
- Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
- Interfaces with Supply Chain Staff Production Engineering Quality Logistics Senior LevelManagement Accounts Payable and Contracts - Is a key and integral member of IntegratedProduct Teams (IPTs)
- Perform other duties as required.

- Working knowledge of Government Property Administration
- Working knowledge of Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) applicability
- Proficiency in word processing electronic spreadsheet analysis techniques.
Education / Certifications
- Bachelors degree in business administration contract management supply chain managementor related field.
- Masters Degree Preferred
- A certificate in one or more of the following areas is desired:
- Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) designation
- Certified in Logistics Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) program
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) program.
Experience
- 5 or more years of experience as a Subcontract Administrator in manufacturing environment.
- 3-5 years applicable experience in the DoD/Federal industry and/or in positions with equivalentexperience.
- Experience with CPSR audits.
- Experience in Hybrid Commercial / FAR compliant environment a plus.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning programs can make a potential Supply Chain Manager more competitive.
