Job Summary
General Description:
- Self- sufficient at designing new CAD products and making improvements to existing CAD products or parts.
- Evaluate CAD products or parts for cost efficiency reliability tooling and manufacturability.
- Applies advanced engineering concepts to design the necessary requirements to produce a particular part or parts specifications and quality standards.
- Works closely with engineering staff to ensure that products are completed in a timely manner using CAD Software such as CATIA UG etc.
Position Specific Requirements (PSR):
- Extremely proficient in solid modeling utilizing CAD software such as CATIA or UGNX.
- Has strong abilities in Surface Development.
- Experience in the Design development and engineering of Interior commodities such as:
- IP
- Door
- Floor Console
- Hardtrim
- Overhead
- Proficient with plastic injection mold tooling including draft lifters shut off and slide requirements.
Education:
- BS/BA Required or Extensive experience in the field.
Experience:
- Requires 5-10 years CAD Design & Development Experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Able to work well in a team environment as well as being self-sufficient.
- Strong attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Punctual and very dependable
