THE ROLE

  • Provide hands-on training and coaching for Service Crew Operators
  • Ensure the Operators are site compliant and competent to perform the required tasks/roles
  • Report directly to the Shift Supervisor / Mine Foreman.
  • Work with the Leading Hand Service Crew Operator to coordinate daily task planning
  • Partner with site leaders to develop training plans that support and enhance operational needs
  • Identify shortfalls in skillsets to improve standards daily planning and become more efficient as a team
  • Align Westgold Standards to maintain accuracy and alignment with Westgold procedures
  • Conduct workplace inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and emergency response processes Critical Risks and controls associated with Service Crew tasks.

WHAT DO I NEED

  • Current C Class Manual Western Australian drivers licence
  • Minimum 5 years underground Service Crew experience
  • Exposure to Mentoring and training new-to-industry operators with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance is preferred
  • Current Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (highly desirable)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act & Regulations and industry standards
  • Demonstrated ability to tailor your training approach to meet the needs of diverse learning styles and backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
  • Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
  • A can-do team-oriented attitude and a passion for excellent work standards
