As a High School Intern - Machinist here at Honeywell you will play a crucial role in our machining processes to ensure the production of high-quality parts. You will operate and set up various machines such as lathes mills and grinders to fabricate precision components. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations and the overall growth of our business.

In this role you will impact the efficiency productivity and quality of our machining processes by operating and setting up machines interpreting blueprints and specifications and conducting quality inspections.

Key Responsibilities

Working 1:1 with a mentor you will apply your current skills and learn to:

Operate and set up machines such as lathes mills and grinders to fabricate precision components

Interpret blueprints drawings and specifications to determine machining operations

Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards

Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production flow

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be a US Person
  • Have earned a High School Diploma from an Arizona school during the 2025-26 school year.
  • Have hands-on classroom experience in the operation of machining equipment such as lathes mills and grinders.
  • Have basic knowledge of mechanical components and systems.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Have good manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
