About the Role:
Care deeply about the developer experience Like building platforms and tools tackling hard technical challenges and ultimately enabling video content creators to earn a living doing what they love Do you have a passion for internal tools libraries and setting direction for an entire company If so youd be a great fit for the Software Engineer role in the Builder Frameworks team. Were looking for a backend engineer to help us ship performant high-quality and delightful products.
Our goal is to improve the productivity and effectiveness of every engineer and leader at Twitch. Through a lens of pure customer obsession we create a variety of internal products services tools and libraries which address important areas such as availability and latency. As an engineer on our team you will contribute your ideas own your part and always keep our users first in mind.
This role is based in San Francisco CA.
You Will:
- Build new and support existing tools shared across Twitch to make software better
- Develop tools and automation to ease the setup and maintenance of services
- Participate in setting a company wide vision for software development
- Act as a mentor to other engineers in the company as an expert in tools
- Level up our team by contributing to company-wide software architecture and design

- Understanding of deployment tools and the software that makes software work

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $99500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
