About the Role
Technology is a global function within BHP that builds and maintains Reliable Impactful Safe and Efficient technology. Cybersecurity is a key part of this team that manages BHPs internal and external attack surface safeguarding our people data and business operations against evolving threats.
Specialist Cybersecurity Architecture is responsible for assisting in translating enterprise cybersecurity strategy into scalable and resilient architecture patterns and frameworks. This role will assist the design review and governance of secure-by-design solutions across BHPs digital platforms cloud environments and OT systems. The role ensures security is embedded at the architecture layer across all technology domains enabling secure transformation regulatory alignment and threat resilience.
In this role your key accountabilities will include:
- Support in establishing and maintaining architectural standards blueprints and reference models to support secure digital transformation and innovation (including emerging technologies such as AI).
- Support in governing cybersecurity architecture through active involvement in the change forums approving changes and managing deviations and exceptions.
- Conduct manage and oversee technical security risk assessments for programs platforms and transformation initiatives ensuring effective risk articulation and remediation.
- Assist in embedding secure-by-design principles into technology initiatives and partner with architects to integrate cybersecurity requirements from ideation to implementation.
- Engage and influence stakeholders across Technology Risk Operations and Digital Innovation to align cyber architecture with business value.
- Continuously assess and uplift architectural security maturity and benchmark digital trust practices against industry standards.
- Assist in Integration of cyber architecture with enterprise architecture frameworks and support compliance with audits regulations and legal mandates.
