Essential Functions
- Will be required to ventilate alter repair and style wigs
- Should have working knowledge of hair styles including period modern and fantasy.
- Adhere to all rules and regulations required by the Actors Equity Association including Covid-19 additions.
- Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and maintain a safe work environment
- Contributes to the overall success of the Production Department by performing any additional duties and responsibilities assigned
Qualifications / Skills / Abilities
- Ability to ventilate and re-front wigs as well as adding/removing weft.
- Knowledge of roller sets and hair styling techniques.
- Knowledge of facial hair styling preferred.
- Knowledge of classic marcel.
- May need to create wig styles over the top of wig cages.
- Ability to collaborate with the wig team as well as other departments.
- Ability to listen take instruction and work with performers and staff in a positive and professional manner while on campus at all times
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Preferred
- At least 1 years of professional work experience in a live theatrical environment as a Wig Builder or equivalent educational experience.
- Cosmetology license (Not required)
Housing is provided.
Contract Dates: January 12-23 2026
Salary/Rate: $20 per hour plus overtime open to negotiation based on experience.
2026 Mainstage shows include Les Miserables Finding Nemo and Grease.
