Cost Account
Located in Reynoldsville PA
SECO Niagara Cutter is one of the worlds largest providers of comprehensive metal cutting solutionsfor milling stationary tools hole-making and tooling systems. SECO Niagara Cutter is part of the Sandvik business area Machining.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Cost Accountant to join our team!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop andmaintainefficient processes for general and cost accounting activities.
Prepare record reconcile and report financial transactions ensuring accuracy completeness and compliance with accounting policies and principles.
Produce and analyze financial statements including balance sheets profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules.
Manageaccountspayable and receivable processes to ensuretimelyandaccuratepayments.
Validate ERP data integrity through analysis audits and coordination with inventory control production and work order processing.
Assistwith month-end and year-end closing activities including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Develop and document accounting policies procedures system requirements and internal controls aligned with corporate standards.
Maintain robust internal controls and support inventory management by coordinating physical inventories.
Provide financial support through forecasting budgeting and variance analysis.
Analyze production costsallocateoverhead andmaintainstandard cost models to ensureaccurateproduct costing.
Monitor and report cost variancesidentifydrivers and recommend corrective actions.
Collaborate with operations and inventory teams tovalidatecost data and ensure alignment withrecordedsystemdata.
Assistin margin analysis and profitability studies for products projects or business units.
Competencies:
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn quickly.
Advanced knowledge of general and cost accounting principles.
High integrity with a focus onmaintaininga strong control environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; adept at working with complex data.
Experience with ERP and financial systems preferredand proficientin MicrosoftSuite Applications.
Willingness to travel including occasional international trips.
Profile:
You possess a bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting and have at least 2-4 years of business finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Must possess excellent communications planning and organizational skills. You are highly organized strongly analytical and have a keen attention to detail and ability to question the facts. You are highly adaptable and work effectively in teams and outside the formal line of authority to accomplish your organizational goals.
