The role

  • Continuing Full time
  • Level B - $113841 to $134965 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Wagga Wagga (preferred) or Albury-Wodonga or Bathurst

The position will join a dedicated teaching team delivering degree programs preparing students to become teachers. Teaching will be predominantly online at undergraduate level. You will also actively contribute to student engagement and community relations.

You will help provide academic leadership to ensure excellence in teaching and learning and professional engagement. You will also contribute to academic administration curriculum development program coordination and working collaboratively across the Faculty and with external partners.

This position will liaise and collaborate with the TAS Discipline Lead who is based in Wagga Wagga NSW. Given this and because intensive schools for some subjects are held in Wagga Wagga living and working close to Wagga Wagga would be advantageous. Generous assistance is available to help you relocate to take up this opportunity if that is needed.

About you

  • A doctoral qualification relevant to the discipline is preferred; however equivalent accreditation and standing such as a Masters qualification plus significant professional experience are also highly valued.
  • Demonstrated capacity to deliver high-quality student-centred learning and teaching.
  • Significant knowledge and understanding of the Technology and Applied Studies discipline gained through secondary teaching and/or other relevant teaching experience and/or scholarly activities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively and independently in an academic setting.
