Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehab Aide to join our healthcare team in Brigham City Utah. As a Rehab Aide you will play a crucial role in supporting our physical therapists and occupational therapists in providing high-quality care to our patients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient recovery and well-being in a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Assist physical therapists and occupational therapists with patient care and treatment plans
- Apply therapeutic modalities such as heat packs and help patients with exercise equipment
- Monitor patient motion and guide them through prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques
- Maintain a clean safe and organized working environment adhering to all safety procedures and regulations
- Ensure proper operation of physical therapy equipment performing basic maintenance and reporting any issues
- Manage inventory of physical therapy supplies including restocking and ordering as needed
- Observe and report patient progress during therapy sessions to the supervising therapist
- Assist with patient transfers and repositioning ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey
- Collaborate with the therapy team to enhance patient care and treatment outcomes
Qualifications :
- College degree or equivalent education in a related field
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical environment preferably in physical or occupational therapy
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift lower push pull and retrieve objects weighing at least 30 pounds
- Proficiency in transferring and repositioning patients safely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and rehabilitation concepts
- Familiarity with rehabilitation equipment and techniques
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Empathetic and patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules
- Basic computer skills for maintaining electronic records and inventory management
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
