The Supply Chain Supervisor oversees daily supply chain operations including inventory management and distribution activities. This role ensures efficient material flow cost control and compliance with company policies while leading and supporting supply chain staff to meet operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily supply chain activities including receiving inventory control warehousing and material delivery to the Assembly department.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize shortages or excess
Coordinate with suppliers vendors and transportation providers to ensure timely delivery of goods
Review purchase orders shipping documents and inventory reports for accuracy
Identify and resolve supply chain issues related to delays quality or cost
Implement and maintain supply chain policies procedures and best practices
Ensure compliance with safety quality and regulatory requirements
Analyze supply chain performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management
Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Train schedule and evaluate supply chain staff performance
Qualifications :
Education
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain management Logistics Business Administration Operations Management or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relevant certifications (e.g. APICS/CPIM CSCP or Six Sigma) are a plus
Experience
35 years of experience in supply chain logistics inventory management or manufacturing.
At least 12 years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management principles
Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain software
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of procurement transportation and warehouse operations
Additional Information :
May require extended hours during peak periods
Interaction with warehouse or production environments
Occasional travel may be required
