The Analytical Science & Discovery team is looking for a Junior Scientist.
In collaboration and support with the Senior Scientist you contribute to the success of R&D projects through the definition and management of project-oriented physicochemical characterization to enhance development of new processes and new products in different application fields.
-In collaboration with the senior scientist and analytical platform you design and plan the experiments apply the strategy by coordinating technicians or research associates. You are responsible for data relevance according to project needs and goals. You will be responsible for checking aggregating data and results and summarizing in a project-specific context.
-Challenge analysis requests (type and deadline) check the alignment of the different stakeholders identify risks alert and mitigate them.
-Respect deadlines demonstrate scientific initiative by revising and adapting analytical plans based on the results.
-Organize and manage research data using an electronic laboratory notebook.
-Present the results report on your activity and participate in the alignment of laboratory activities and project needs.
-Communicate about deliverables and outcomes to technical team
-Depending on project needs and resource availability you might carry out experiments or method development in collaboration with technical team.
-As a scientist participate in technological scouting to anticipate future needs for projects
-Participate in the proper functioning of the department by establishing solid working relationships: contribution to the sharing of information to the culture of communication within the team and with all stakeholders.
Qualifications :
PhD degree in analytical chemistry ideally with an experience in biochemistry or biology.
This experience will ideally be linked to physicochemical analysis of complex matrices such as natural plant products agri-food matrices organic products fermentation products.
With strong analytical expertise you master analytical tools particularly chromatographic techniques (RMN HPLC LC/MS and GC) and sample preparation techniques. You regularly use statistical data processing. You have good general knowledge of chemistry. Your ability to summarize and your writing skills are recognized. You are proficient in English both written and spoken.
You demonstrate rigor reliability autonomy persuasion adaptation and critical thinking. Your communication skills are recognized. You regularly share feedback with the teams you work with. You are a good listener proactive responsive organized pragmatic and curious. You are a team-player in a multidisciplinary environment.
