Job Summary

The Porter plays an essential role in delivering warm seamless and personalized guest experiences. As one of the first points of contact for arriving guests the Porter represents the hotels commitment to exceptional service and hospitality. Through attentive assistance professionalism and genuine care the Porter helps create a positive first impression while supporting the overall guest journey throughout their stay.


Qualifications :

  1. Educational Background: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional education or vocational training in hospitality guest services or related fields is an advantage.

  2. Guest Service Skills: Strong guest service orientation with a friendly courteous and professional demeanor. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests.

  3. Physical Fitness: Physically fit with the stamina required to lift carry and transport guest luggage safely and efficiently.

  4. Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is required. Additional language skills are an advantage particularly in a luxury hotel environment serving an international clientele.

  5. Attention to Detail: Demonstrates strong attention to detail to ensure guest belongings are handled with care and delivered accurately to the correct locations.

  6. Hospitality Experience: Previous experience in guest services bell service or a related hospitality role is beneficial. Experience in a luxury hotel or upscale establishment is an advantage.

  7. Professional Appearance: Maintains a polished and professional appearance in accordance with the hotels grooming and uniform standards.

  8. Time Management Skills: Ability to manage time effectively particularly during peak arrival and departure periods to deliver prompt and seamless guest service.

  9. Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in responding to varying guest needs operational demands and unexpected situations.

  10. Guest Safety and Security Awareness: Basic knowledge of safety procedures and security protocols to ensure guest safety during luggage handling and valet-related activities.

  11. Teamwork and Collaboration: Works well in a team environment and collaborates effectively with other departments to deliver a consistent and exceptional guest experience.
