Compensation: $12.00/hour
Hours: 8-20 hours per week available hours 7am - 5 pm Mon. - Fri. (based on your class schedule)
Assist in the enforcement of UWSP parking regulations according to Chapter 36 of the Wisconsin Statutes & Chapter 18 of the State Administrative Code patrolling campus parking facilities on foot and/or utilizing an university motor vehicle general clean-up & maintenance of campus parking lots & property and other duties as assigned by fulltime staff.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Enforce parking regulations & issue accurate citations
Assist students faculty & visitors with parking-related information as the first-line of customer service in the parking lots
Communicate via two-way radio operation in compliance with department regulations
Investigate & research parking permit compliance
Support the customer service mission & philosophy of Parking Services office
Assist with parking lot maintenance & safety (e.g. meter maintenance sign maintenance garbage & debris removal hazard & damage identification etc.)
Maintain equipment and vehicle condition to ensure equipment longevity
Audit & collect meter revenue as needed.
Accept extra duties from full-time staff as assigned. The Parking Services Student Enforcement Officer reports to the Parking Services Enforcement Supervisor Police Chief (Director of Police & Parking Services) and other full-time parking office staff.
