Job Description
Shift: 1st shift
Days of Work: Monday Friday
Work Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Work Location: On-site (Houma LA)
Salary Range: $18.41 to $25.77
Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
The Payroll Clerkis responsible forcompiling employee time and payroll data tomaintainpayroll records.
Generate and review daily timesheets and weekly hours reports for completeness and accuracy for payroll processing
Work with department supervisors to adjust any time corrections and/or timemissed
Compares computer input forms enters data into computer files or computes wages and deductions and posts to payrollrecords
Reviews wages computed makes payroll adjustments and corrects errors to ensure accuracy ofpayroll
Processes payroll and prepares and issuespaychecks
Prepares various reports asneeded
Keeps track of employee leave records
Assistdepartment with any special projects asneeded
Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties as directed bysupervisor
Experience / Skills:
Be available for and successfully complete all requiredtraining
Possess valididentification
Detail oriented andorganized
Ability to handle sensitive confidentialinformation
Basic / Experienced computer skills
Ability tointerface withco-workers and/orcustomers
Ability to prioritize organize and meetdeadlines
Team player attitude with the ability to work with minimalsupervision
Additional Job Details
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or 1 3monthsrelated experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical and Other Requirements:
Must pass all required pre-employment screenings Background Physical & Drugscreen
Be able tocomply withall drug and alcohol policies of Nidec / Houma Armature Works and/or customer sponsored programs.Subject to random Drug and Alcohol screenings
Must be able to liftand/or move up to25 poundsunrestricted
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk standingwalkingand/or working at a computer
