Job Summary

The Engineering Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Companys financial planning acquisition modeling and risk management strategies under the direction of the CFO. This role will also contribute to marketing hedging financial compliance and reporting functions while providing ad hoc financial analysis to support investment decisions and capital structure planning. The Analyst will collaborate with multiple departments to ensure robust data-driven insights and will assist in preparing materials for the Companys lenders and Board of Managers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build and manage leveraged acquisition models.
  • Conduct financial analyses to support internal decision-making and project evaluations.
  • Prepare models materials and sensitivities for equity and debt stakeholders.
  • Support corporate risk management and insurance reporting activities.
  • Compile analyze and report operational and financial data for management and operations teams.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure financial models reflect current reserve forecasts and assumptions.
  • Maintain credit evaluations for major counterparties.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and extract data from the Companys reserve database in collaboration with the Reservoir Engineering team.
  • Support execution of the Companys hedging strategies.
  • Assist in preparing investor materials including quarterly Board of Managers presentations.
  • Support compliance and reporting requirements related to the Companys credit facility.
  • Track and report on derivative positions.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or Engineering required.

Experience:

  • 7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis within the oil and gas industry
  • Prior experience in the oil and gas industry is required.

Specialized knowledge:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with reservoir databases (ARIES BOLO ComboCurve etc.) is required.

Compensation

The base compensation for this role in this location is targeted between $91000 and $148000 annually. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the range listed above.

Work Conditions

Location:

This position is in Denver CO. Candidates currently residing in locations outside of daily commuting distance will be considered however it is the expectation that the selected individual will be available at the work location.

Work Environment:

This position operates in an office environment. This entails working inside an office space wherein employees may be provided a public workstation (cubicle) or private office. From time to time the role will require field visits where exposure to extreme weather conditions fumes airborne particles vibrations dust electrical charges and other unforeseen exposures may be encountered.

Physical Demands:

In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. While at work sites the employee will be expected to walk and stand. Individuals might be asked to climb balance stoop kneel crouch reach and/or crawl. Individuals might be required to lift carry push or pull up to 50 the performance of this position.

Position Type and Working Hours:

This is a full-time position. Core work hours are from 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. Monday Thursday and 8:00am 12:00pm on Friday. Employees must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and to participate in occasional meetings events seminars conferences or other activities outside of typical work hours. Employees responsible for project operations are expected to monitor and in some cases respond to emails calls or texts outside of business hours.

Travel:

Occasional travel to work site locations may be expected. Overnight stays may be required from time to time for training seminars field visits or visits to onsite locations.
