What You Will Do:

As a Principal EH&S Specialist youll support the Raytheon EH&S teams ongoing compliance and risk reduction efforts at the Andover MA site. This complex manufacturingsite offers anopportunity towork with manufacturing and support teams to foster employee engagement and drive risk reduction andcontinuous improvement of the EH&S program.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Recognizing evaluating and controlling hazardous workplace conditions
• Taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influencing safe behaviors
• Working with subject matter experts to assure compliance with applicable federal state local and company EHS requirements
• Executing initiatives programs reports and trainings across multiple EH&S disciplines to achieve and maintain compliance.
• Auditing and evaluating current policies procedures and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Investigating analyzing and interpreting data from injuries and near-misses ensuring corrective actions are completed on time and all necessary documentation is in place
• Interacting with employees and promoting relationships learning the tasks employees perform and serving as a known and respected resource to the site employees. Working toward building partnerships and influencing across assigned areas to provide actionable improvement programs

Position requires limited travel for participation in Company seminars EHS audits and training opportunities.

This job is posted as ONSITE and is based at Raytheons Andover MA facility.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
• Experience implementing EHS programs and/or safety initiatives

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience managing EHS issues in a union work environment
• Experience working at an OSHA VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) site
• Professional Certification in the EHS field (ASP CSP CIH etc.)
• Project management and execution skills
• Strong verbal written and presentation communication skills
• Must be able to work well independently and within a team environment
• Strong computer skills particularly Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
• MS/MA degree in Safety Engineering Science or Mathematics or other related field of study

The salary range for this role is 86800 USD - 165200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
