Purpose of the Role

As Facilities Manager you will be responsible for hands-on delivery and coordination of all facilities services within the Treasury Notable Precinct. You will oversee building systems maintenance safety requirements and day-to-day operations ensuring the precinct is compliant functional and well-presented for its high-profile occupants.

The ideal candidate is organised customer-focused and collaborative with a strong understanding of facilities operations in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily facilities operations inspections maintenance and contractor performance
  • Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance ensuring compliance with safety and statutory standards
  • Maintain accurate asset work order and compliance records within BGIS Connect
  • Oversee site access inductions permits and emergency readiness
  • Support occupant queries and service requests to deliver prompt customer-focused outcomes
  • Ensure presentation and condition of common areas meeting spaces and operational areas
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and operational optimisation initiatives

Education Experience & Skills

Essential

  • Qualifications in facilities management building services engineering trades or related discipline
  • Experience delivering FM services in complex multi-building or high-security environments
  • Strong knowledge of building systems maintenance statutory compliance and safety standards
  • Excellent organisational planning and workload management skills
  • Strong communication stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to coordinate contractors and onsite works safely and effectively
  • High proficiency in digital systems FM technologies and data-informed reporting
  • Current Victorian driver licence and ability to obtain required clearances

Desirable

  • Experience in government or contract-based FM services
  • Experience managing high-profile or sensitive sites

Workplace Flexibility

This role is based onsite in Melbourne CBD with flexible start and finish times. Site visits and ad hoc additional hours may be required.
