Litigation Attorney
Position Summary
An established law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its Litigation Practice Group. This role involves managing a diverse caseload with a primary focus on insurance defense along with select plaintiff and defense matters involving fiduciary duty contract disputes fair housing complaints covenant enforcement judicial foreclosures and other real estaterelated litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage district court cases (and select county or administrative matters) from intake through resolution including trial appeal or settlement
- Conduct case evaluations discovery legal research and drafting of pleadings and motions

Communicate with clients regarding strategy progress and outcomes

Lead and participate in client meetings as needed

Contribute to business development initiatives
Qualifications
Required Skills

Excellent legal research writing and editing skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously

Sound judgment discretion and attention to detail under deadlines
- Proactive independent work style
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word PowerPoint Excel and Outlook
- Familiarity with Practice Master (or similar case management software) and NetDocuments (or similar document management systems) preferred

Portable book of business is a plus
