About The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join our Special Care Nursery (SCN) team in a 12-month temporary position. In this pivotal role you will lead a team of nursing staff ensuring the highest standards of care are provided to our patients.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for a senior neonatal nurse to develop leadership skills while supporting the Nurse Unit Manager in the day-to-day operational and clinical management of the SCN.

At Frances Perry we are committed to providing exceptional care to our patients in the special care nursery. We operate a 14 bedded special care nursery caring for patients from 31 weeks gestation. We provide CPAP and High flow when required for our patients.

About the Role

As the ANUM you will:

  • Support the Nurse Unit Manager with clinical leadership and unit coordination
  • Provide clinical expertise and supervision to nursing staff
  • Assist with staff allocation skill mix and shift coordination
  • Promote a safe high-quality family-centred model of care
  • Support quality improvement policy adherence and accreditation standards
  • Act as a positive role model and mentor within the multidisciplinary team

About you

  • Significant experience in Special Care Nursery / Neonatal care
  • Postgraduate qualification in Neonatal Nursing (or working towards)
  • Demonstrated leadership or relief ANUM experience
  • Strong communication organisational and problem-solving skills
  • A collaborative and supportive leadership style
  • Commitment to excellence in neonatal and family-centred care
  • Availability to work across a rotating 7 day roster

Requirements

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or midwife
  • Provide or complete a National Police Check (conducted within the last 12 months)
  • According to the role Ramsay may require aWorking-With-Childrencheck andproof of immunisationagainst infectious diseases.
