As a Respiratory Therapist you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. Youll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management oxygen therapies and external ventilation support.

Every day you will apply your keen assessment skills and critical thinking to manage diverse patient needs develop and execute effective care plans and ensure calm focused intervention in both routine and emergent situations.

• Performs basic respiratory care and develops plans for the delivery of Respiratory Therapy as directed by physicians or protocols and implements same in a timely manner. Promotes a positive quality work environment in the provision of quality patient care.
• In accordance with established policies administers and monitors critical care procedures such as mechanical ventilation physiological monitoring and diagnostic procedures.
• Assists and participates in emergency resuscitation to include but not limited to all phases of airway management.
• Performs setup and insertion of arterial catheters per RT Guidelines.
• Performs as a team member and provides leadership to colleagues students and other team members by actively participating in student and new hire precepting intra-disciplinary or interdisciplinary committee and/or education. Assumes charge person responsibilities in the supervisors absence. Assigns work load based on staffs level of competency.
• Authorized to make entries in the medical record consistent with and limited to the scope of the job duties and any applicable licensure. Observes the response of the patients to therapy evaluated and records in the patients medical record. Immediately reports adverse reactions.

• Graduate of an AMA approved program of Respiratory Therapy. upon hire and
• Respiratory Care Practitioner: NE upon hire and
• Registered Respiratory Therapist upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire and
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days

Preferred

• One year experience in providing respiratory services
