Woodward is hiring for a 1st shift Electrical Technician to join our Production Equipment department at our Rock Cut Campus. Key Responsibilities:
Electrical/Electronic Assembly: Independently assembles and modifies electrical components and systems. Performs basic troubleshooting with occasional guidance
Problem Solving & Troubleshooting: Investigates moderately complex issues with electrical components and systems. Begins to derive solutions with guidance from senior technicians or engineers
Testing and Analysis: Executes routine electrical tests independently and records results. Provides preliminary analysis and feedback to engineering staff.
Process Improvement: Identifies potential areas for improvement and suggests changes to tools techniques or processes. Assists in updating process documentation.
Team Leadership: Provides informal training to entry-level technicians and promotes adherence to safety protocols
Key Skills:
Schematics & Drawings: Reads and interprets electrical schematics and diagrams independently. Can make minor modifications with guidance from senior staff.
Assembly of Electrical Systems & Components: Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions procedures and protocols. Demonstrates knowledge of IEC CE and UL standards and applies them with moderate supervision.
Testing: Ability to create and execute structured test plans.
Electrical Circuit Principles Testing & Data Review: Demonstrates an intermediate understanding of electrical circuit principles and conducts data collection and reporting.
Application & Field Use Knowledge: Has a working knowledge of deployed electrical systems and component functions. Provides input on field applications.
Devices and Tools Used: Independently selects and uses standard mechanical and electrical measurement devices. Constructs simple fixtures or tools to assist with testing and assembly.
Team Leadership: Occasionally leads small tasks or groups under supervision. Provides guidance to entry-level technicians.
Communication: Produces clear and concise test reports. Communicates findings to peers and supervisors effectively.
Process Improvement: Suggests improvements to existing processes or tools and assists in implementing changes.

Successful candidates typically have:
Experience in aerospace industry
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics
Ability to use electrical tools experience with soldering techniques (J Standard Cert)
Experience with bench testing electrical troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
