JOB PURPOSE
The role involves designing and implementing scientific breeding strategies managing field and station trials and collaborating with R&D production and marketing teams to deliver superior-performing varieties that strengthen Dayal Groups seed portfolio and contribute to sustainable agricultural productivity.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Farm Management
Oversee all farm operations to ensure effective planning crop cultivation and resource utilization.
Ensure adherence to sustainable and efficient farming practices.
Establish and manage the breeding station and rise the good crop
On-time completion of all farm operations.
Efficient utilization of manpower machinery and inputs.
Inbred Line Development
Develop and maintain sustainable inbred lines through systematic breeding
.
Maintain detailed records of pedigree and genetic traits.
Insuring the germplasm Security and farm
Number of new inbred lines developed annually.

Germplasm Maintenance
Preserve characterize and maintain germplasm collections.

Yield Trials & Breeding Nursery Screening
Plan establish and monitor yield trials and nursery screenings.

Population Improvement
Initiating crop population for each heterotic group.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Educational Qualifications
MSc. / Phd. - Genetics and Plant Breeding with minimum 7 year experience in Maize Breeding
Relevant and total years of experience and behavioral attributes & Must haves
Strong understanding of plant breeding seed technology and agronomic practices.
Proficiency in breeding data analysis and use of related software.
Knowledge of seed certification purity maintenance and regulatory compliance.
Excellent coordination analytical and documentation skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with R&D production and other teams manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
