Job Summary
Job Summary Lead Consultant (CICS & zOS) Hartford CT
- Serve as the primary onsite expert for CICS and zOS technologies providing installation configuration and management of CICS software application regions and ISV software.
- Install configure and manage zOS Connect regions for both inbound and outbound APIs.
- Lead semiannual maintenance migrations and ensure software currency across development QA and production environments.
- Optimize CICS performance by leveraging deep knowledge of CICS parameters and internals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents collaborating with IBM and ISV vendors as needed.
- Analyze and manage software installation using SMPE including PTF and HOLDDATA analysis and triage HIPER FIXCAT and PEd PTFs.
- Support business groups by understanding their requirements and providing technical expertise and solutions.
- May also participate in migration of transaction definitions creation of new CICS regions started tasks and address spaces.
- Potentially work with TPX EOS and CA GEN software as part of application support and environment management.
- Ensure all activities comply with organizational policies and best practices for mainframe system administration.
