Job Summary
Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
Location: Chicago IL
Shift: Day Shift 06:45 AM 03:15 PM
Schedule: Monday Friday Five (5) 8-hour shifts
On-Call: Required
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a fast-paced high-volume OR department in Chicago IL. The OR RN will provide safe efficient and high-quality perioperative nursing care while collaborating closely with surgeons anesthesia providers and the interdisciplinary surgical team.
Workday hours may extend based on case load.
Key Responsibilities-
Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and AORN standards

Prepare operating rooms equipment and supplies for surgical procedures

Function effectively as a circulator and/or scrub nurse as assigned

Assess patient condition pre- intra- and post-operatively and document accurately in EPIC

Maintain sterile technique and ensure patient safety throughout procedures

Collaborate with surgeons anesthesia and surgical team members for optimal patient outcomes

Respond to on-call assignments as scheduled

One (1) night every 2 weeks

One (1) weekend every 6 weeks

Active RN license (Illinois or compact as applicable)

Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience required

Experience in a busy OR department required

EPIC EMR experience required

BLS certification (ACLS preferred)

Strong clinical communication and teamwork skills
