Dynamics 365 Architect

Role Overview

The Dynamics 365 Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for the design configuration and architectural oversight of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions. You will take full ownership of soluilstion architecture ensuring systems are secure scalable performant resilient and aligned with both immediate business needs and wider IT strategy. You will work closely with delivery teams business stakeholders and technical colleagues to deliver high-quality CRM solutions that drive business value and innovation.

Core Skill Set

Design configure customise and extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications (Sales and related modules)
Architect and implement Power Platform solutions including Power Automate and Model-Driven Apps
Advanced configuration of Model-Driven Apps (Tables Forms Views Business Rules Security Roles)
Develop and review custom solutions using JavaScript Web Resources Plugins and Custom Workflow Activities
Lead integration design and troubleshooting for performance security and connectivity
Produce architectural deliverables (HLDs/MLDs diagrams) using approved templates and tooling
Experience with on-premise cloud and hybrid solution design (Windows Azure PaaS containerisation)
Conceptual and logical data modelling with the ability to clearly represent complex ideas graphically

Level of Autonomy

Owns delivery and works independently on complex features and architectural initiatives with strategic oversight and accountability for solution quality

Typical Responsibilities

Take full ownership for the design and delivery of secure scalable and commercially viable Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions
Engage with and empower Agile delivery teams across the full lifecycle from requirements gathering to BAU
Deliver architecture artefacts and documentation suitable for the scale and nature of change
Collaborate with business domain experts product owners and technical teams to understand requirements and value opportunities
Mentor and guide developers championing best practices and continuous improvement
Ensure solutions align with wider IT strategy standards and principles

Required Experience and Structure

7 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM development and architecture
Proven expertise in Power Platform including Power Automate and Model-Driven Apps
Strong background in JavaScript C# and related technologies for CRM customisation
Experience with integration patterns cloud-based solutions and architectural frameworks (TOGAF Zachman etc.)
Demonstrable experience mentoring colleagues and promoting good engineering practices
Experience producing architecture deliverables and artefacts
Understanding of Agile and DevOps practices
Experience with tools such as Confluence Teams LucidChart and Jira
