Core Responsibility
Lead and manage the organizations disaster recovery strategy ensuring business continuity across critical IT systems and infrastructure.
Technical Expertise
Strong hands-on experience in IT infrastructure including servers storage networking and cloud environments.
Deep understanding of backup and recovery technologies replication strategies and high-availability architectures.
Disaster Recovery Planning
Develop maintain and update comprehensive DR plans aligned with business objectives and compliance requirements.
Define Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) for critical systems.
Execution & Testing
Plan and lead disaster recovery exercises including tabletop drills and full-scale failover tests.
Document test results identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
Product Evaluation & Proof of Concept
Evaluate and recommend DR tools platforms and services based on technical fit and cost-effectiveness.
Perform Proof of Concept (POC) for DR software solutions to validate functionality performance and integration before adoption.
Manage relationships with vendors and service providers for DR solutions.
Risk Assessment & Compliance
Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in IT systems.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g. ISO 22301 NIST) and regulatory requirements.
Leadership & Collaboration
Coordinate with IT operations security and business units to align DR strategies with organizational goals.
Provide training and guidance to teams on DR processes and responsibilities.
Continuous Improvement
Monitor emerging technologies and trends in disaster recovery and business continuity.
Drive process improvements to enhance resilience and reduce downtime.
