Support Planning and Scheduling activities
Prepare project schedule with best planning practices
Load Resource/Budget Schedule
Set up Baseline Schedule
Update Schedule Provide guidance and support to lower level planners
Extract Primavera data files and send to the cost controller
Issue schedule for internal & external use
Monitor and control the progress of the work against the Schedule
Prepare and update Resource requirements reports
Report critical schedule issues
Identification and explanation of variances between current schedule plan earned values and forecasts and communicate to the Project Controls Manager Project Manager
Ensure proper progress measurement is in place for all projects and portfolios within the P&L through the whole project cycle
Present updates to Lead/Manager/Project or P&L lead
Advise on the areas of concern that could prevent meeting the P&L objectives
Interface with other Project Control Team to maintain integrated cost-schedule project control system
Must have University degree (B. Eng BCom etc).
3 years of relevant planning experience under EPC projects environment.
Proficient in MS office suite of software especially in Microsoft Excel.
Preferably thorough knowledge of Primavera P6.
Ability to learn new software as per the company standards.
Knowledge of project management techniques and a number of years of hands on experience (i.e. critical path method progress measurement and earned value technique) and experience in Project planning analyzing and reporting.
Strong organizational skills are required with attention to details.
Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
Strong knowledge of the general project controls policies and procedures.
Solid report writing communication and presentation skills.
Effective problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to work well with Clients and Alliance partners.
Ability to work with staff build and maintain good working relationships with Project Controls team
Ability to work with project cost controller
