Your Role & Impact
As a Special Education Instructional Aide you will play a vital role in supporting students academically socially and emotionally. Working closely with teachers and campus leadership you will help bring individualized plans to life and celebrate student growth big and small.
What Youll Do:
Support students with autism in individual and small-group settings
Assist teachers in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Help students fully participate in classroom and school activities
Collaborate with related service providers including speech occupational and physical therapists
Support behavior management strategies with consistency and care
Assist with data collection and maintaining student records
Help create a positive structured and engaging classroom environment
Follow ResponsiveEd policies procedures and special education guidelines
What Youll Bring
A genuine passion for working with students with autism
Patience empathy and a calm supportive presence
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to take direction and work as part of a team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfort using technology and learning instructional software
Willingness to adapt and grow alongside a dynamic campus
Experience with IEPs ARD processes individualized instruction accommodations and behavior support strategies is helpful but a heart for students and a desire to learn are just as important.
Education & Experience Requirements
Educational Aide Certification required or ability to obtain shortly after hire
Must meet one of the following:
48 college credit hours
Passing scores on all sections of the THEA
Associates degree or higher from an accredited institution
Bachelors degree or Teacher Certification preferred
