Job Summary

Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for Physiotherapist Lead to join us in a Permanent Full-time role. Based at our Springfield campus these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield opening early 2026. As Maters first new public hospital in over 60 years this state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With 174 public beds ICU maternity emergency and surgical services its set to care for over 200000 patients annually.

Salary range: $73.12 - $76.30 per hour plus superannuation andaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!

What youll be doing

As the Physiotherapist Team Leader you will combine advanced clinical practice with leadership and service development responsibilities to deliver high-quality patient-centred care across Mater Health.

You will guide and support a dedicated team of physiotherapists and allied health professionals to provide safe innovative and efficient clinical services aligned with Maters mission vision and values.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert physiotherapy care and consultation for complex and varied clinical presentations
  • Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary physiotherapy services across Mater Health
  • Managing workforce productivity operational performance and resource allocation
  • Driving continuous improvement through innovation quality initiatives and evidence-based practice
  • Providing clinical supervision mentoring and professional development opportunities for staff and students
  • Shaping the physiotherapy service profile by developing new models of care and extending clinical scope
  • Fostering a learning culture through education research and reflective practice
  • Promoting collaboration communication and professional excellence across teams and disciplines

About you

You will bring:

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration
  • Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
  • Advanced clinical expertise in complex physiotherapy practice and multidisciplinary care
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and growing a clinical service in alignment with strategic goals
  • Proven success in workforce development quality improvement and service innovation
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and engage across all levels
  • A strong commitment to professional and service excellence within a values-based organisation

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Adult Acute Care Leadership or Education
  • Experience translating research and evidence into clinical practice and innovative models of care
