We seek applicants for part-time instructors to teach welding courses during future semesters through HCCs Career and Technical Education division. Daytime evening and/or weekend opportunities may be available.

In addition to teaching general expectations include:
- Evaluate student learning outcomes within established protocols
- Prepare syllabi for courses taught consistent with established approvals
- Manage student issues and problems in a manner consistent with the Student Handbook
- Create a learning environment that fosters student success and the attainment of defined learning outcomes on the master syllabus
- Demonstrate competence and remain current in the discipline
- Use major IT systems necessary for performance of basic job duties including email grade and required attendance submissions and learning management systems
- Cooperate with Student Success and Enrollment Services staff in advocating for student persistence and completion
- Maintain reasonable accessibility to students
- Cooperate with College-wide and division instructional goals
Requirements
- Minimum of 2000 hours of demonstrated experience in the welding field
- Successful experience in and ability to teach cutting soldering brazing SMAW GMAW and GTAW methods
Desired Qualifications
- Formal welding certification such as American Welding Society (AWS) certification
- Successful teaching experience

Adjunct faculty shall be compensated per Equated Contact Hour (ECH) of instruction. As of time of posting the compensation rate per ECH for new Adjunct Faculty is $1011.
