Clinical Practitioner 12 Months Fixed Term

An exciting career opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and energetic clinician (systemic psychotherapist or trauma-informed clinical practitioner with systemic training) to join the Barnet Integrated Clinical Services (BICS) Childrens Social Care team for a fixed-term contract of twelve months ideally from March 2026.

The range of modalities in the team is a real strength. There is scope for joint working to learn from one another and we consider how best the teams skills can be used to the benefit of children and their families.

We value and encourage your continuing professional development and will support you with regular supervision from the Clinical Manager and peer support from the other clinical practitioners in your team. We offer excellent CPD and training opportunities including in specialist therapeutic approaches.

The team delivers a targeted mental health service for children young people and families based within the Local Authoritys social care team working with moderate mental health difficulties.

You will work across the Assessment Safeguarding and Children in Care teams offering community-based mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions to children and young people receiving a range of interventions from Barnets Childrens Social Care teams. We recognise that within the childrens social care context young peoples difficulties often arise from their family circumstances. Creative formulation helps the team decide whether to offer a service to the child to the parents to the whole family or to the wider network of professionals and community of which the child is a part.

The team also designs and delivers training as well as provides consultation and advice to social workers and the wider professional network. We are flexible and dynamic in supporting our colleagues and will welcome your ideas for further developing the service.

In addition to the salary quoted this salary attracts a Recruitment and Retention allowance of 10%. Base salary range is therefore 62014 - 67818.
