Job Summary
The role involves extensive hands-on activities. Here are key job responsibilities:
- Understand the Payments industry and where Visa Direct fits in the payments ecosystem
- Understand the business initiatives and their importance to the growth of Visa Direct.
- Develop a good understanding of the Visa Direct technology platform.
- Collaborate with product owners and technical staff globally to define requirements for new features and enhancements to the platform.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively within the team as well as across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Provide QA input into delivery of features and stories estimation and sizing.
- Question and think outside of acceptance criteria to identify exception scenarios error states etc.
- Take on leadership responsibilities and influence the direction of the testing and automation efforts.
- Take ownership and lead the test engineering responsibility for multiple components of the platform.
- Collaborate with QA Engineers from various locations and ensure smooth delivery of releases.
- Ability to identify and manage risks at all stages of the project.
- Adherence to practices such as test coverage open defect counts continuous integration code reviews code quality and shift left practices.
- Stay up to date with new testing approaches tools technologies and test strategies.
- Drive improvements in processes and frameworks across the team.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

As we embark on the journey to build this platform we are looking for a Staff Software Test Engineer who can participate in the detailed design and development activities for this product build.
