Under the direction/supervision of the clinical team you will perform direct patient services tasks.
Accountabilities:
- Assisting with patient turns
- Mobilization and transport
- Ordering supplies
- Daily restocking of supplies in patient care rooms and supply storage areas
- Maintain and distribute departmental monitoring equipment
- Transporting patient specimens to the pneumatic tube
- Contributing to the maintenance of a safe work environment
Qualifications :
- Registered with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA)
- Personal Support Worker certificate from a recognized college
- Basic Knowledge of aseptic techniques
- Current CPR
- Minimum of two to three years recent experience with inpatient medicine and specialized geriatric patient population required
- Ability to function as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and has demonstrated teamwork abilities
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Flexibility to meet unit needs
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly stressful and fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education in acute care medicine and seniors
- Must demonstrate Oslers Values of Respect Excellence Service Compassion Innovation and Collaboration
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Meditech system
- Excellent attendance punctuality and work record
- Fluent in English (reading writing speaking and comprehension)
- Able to handle physical requirements of the job (ability to lift at least 25-30 pounds)

Weekdays/weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements) working across sites.
Salary:
Minimum: $30.76
Maximum: $31.38
