In-Room Dining Order Taker

The iconic Waldorf Astoria property in New OrleansThe Roosevelt is seeking an FT In-Room Dining Order Taker to join the team!

The Order Taker is responsible for answering telephones and accurately taking guest food and beverage orders supporting the hotels commitment to exceptional guest service and financial performance.

What will I be doing

As an Order Taker you will play a key role in delivering a positive guest experience by handling room service orders with efficiency accuracy and professionalism. Responsibilities include performing the following duties to the highest standards:

Answer room service telephones and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely friendly and efficient manner

Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu including restaurant promotions daily specials preparation methods and ingredients

Upsell food and beverage items including sides desserts beverages and promotional offerings to enhance the guest experience and drive revenue

Accurately take guest food and beverage orders and enter them into the appropriate point-of-sale (POS) system

Reconcile checks upon order delivery including verifying totals ensuring proper gratuity distribution and managing the cash drawer and house bank in accordance with established accounting procedures
