Vision
The Welfare and Self-Reliance Department strives to follow Jesus Christ by embracing the two great commandments to love God and love our neighbor as we minister to temporal needs build spiritual and temporal self-reliance and bless both givers and receivers. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting global humanitarian efforts of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Note: There are three openings. Two positions will focus on nutrition and public health working with our area and global priority teams. The third will work with JustServe and Emergency Response
Assist in planning and managing humanitarian projects
Conduct research and summarize findings for decision-making
Prepare project documentation and professional communications
Collect analyze and manage data in humanitarian databases
Develop training materials and write business processes
Contribute to reports articles and project evaluations
Within one year of college graduation (priority for graduating seniors). Academic or volunteer experience in one or more of the following:
Global health (maternal/newborn care malnutrition)
Humanitarian relief and community development
Project management or business administration
