Job Summary

Governance Officer

  • 42548 per annum plus benefits.
  • 37 hours per week(Mon-FriwithFlexi-time)
  • 12-monthsfixed term role.
  • Home-basedwith occasional travel to Magna Offices.

The Governance team is a group of talented and ambitious colleagues who directly influence manage and shape Magnas governance areseekingan enthusiastic and conscientious Governance Officer tosupportthe Governance Manager and the broader team in delivering a high-standard governance service ensuring Magnas adherence to regulatory requirements adopted codesandrecognisedbest practices.

The role & what you take care of:

  • Support Governance processes ensuring that they are implementedinaccordance withMagnas Rules Governance Framework policies and best practiceprovidingGovernance advice to the Strategic and Executive Boards.
  • Deliver comprehensive administrative support to the Strategic Board itsCommitteesand the Executive Boardby managing future agendascollectingand distributing meeting documents and preparingaccurateminutes along with reports on actionableitems.
  • Assist the Governance Managerdeputisingwhennecessaryto implement and oversee robust governance processes ensuring Magnas compliance with regulatory standards and adopted codesaremaintainedatthe highest possible regulatory rating.
  • Ensureaccuraterecord keepingmaintainand manage formal records such as minutes of meetingsand registers.
  • Support the Governance Manager with reportsbriefingsand research on best practices for board and committee meetings as well asassistingwithBoard Member recruitment and training.A full role profile is attached to this advert.

What you need to be successful:

  • Extensive experience in business administration at Board level within large or complex organisations including the ability to accurately document detailed minutes of complex meetings and capture clear concise action points.
  • Exhibits outstanding organisational abilities effectively managing multiple stakeholdersanticipatingneeds and prioritising tasks with meticulous attention to butembracesteamwork and collaborationwhenappropriate.
  • Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of corporate governance practices appreciates their significance to the organisation and is well-versed in policies and legislationpertaining tocompliance and regulation.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification or experience-CGI (Corporate Governance Institute) qualification or part qualification would beconsideredadvantageous.
