PRIMARY FUNCTION: As a Lead Inventory Specialist in Indirect Procurement Operations youll play a key role in supporting the end-to-end purchase order creation and warehouse coordination process for indirect categories. Youll partner closely with sourcing teams business units finance and warehouse operations to ensure timely creation tracking and closure of indirect purchase orders. Leveraging your working knowledge of procurement tools and processes youll help drive efficiency accuracy and compliance across indirect purchasing activities. You will utilize established systems and workflows to execute purchase orders monitor delivery and fulfillment status and provide updates to internal stakeholders and vendors. Your attention to detail and proactive problem-solving will help resolve order or tracking queries ensuring transparency and smooth operational flow between procurement and warehouse teams. Youll also provide process insights and recommend improvements to enhance indirect material management and overall procurement efficiency. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Create review and process indirect purchase orders (POs) in the ERP system based on approved requisitions. Ensure accuracy in PO details including pricing quantity terms and delivery schedules. Track PO approvals and expedite pending requests to ensure timely issuance. Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to manage goods receipt and ensure indirect items are properly tracked upon delivery. Handle and resolve vendor and internal stakeholder queries related to indirect POs delivery timelines. Monitor inventory for indirect materials and ensure replenishment requests are processed promptly. Analyze operational data to generate actionable insights and support decision-making. Develop and maintain dashboards MIS reports and KPI trackers to monitor metrics. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including procurement logistics and technology to resolve operational issues and drive process improvements. Assist in SOP creation process mapping and continuous improvement initiatives. Manage internal reporting and handle operational escalations with clarity and professionalism. Train the new TMs or Senior Inventory specialist of the team about the existing processes REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Reports to Indirect Inventory Manager. Works closely with Inventory Analyst teams and other teams as necessary. JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Bachelors degree in business administration Commerce or a related field. 0 - 3 years of experience in indirect procurement warehouse operations or supply chain coordination. Inventory Management Knowledge Strong understanding of supply chain principles logistics and inventory management. Hands-on experience with procurement warehousing and distribution operations. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP Pivot Tables basic macros). Experience with data analysis tools and techniques. Ability to prepare dashboards operational MIS and KPI tracking reports. Communication & Collaboration Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal reporting and stakeholder coordination. Ability to work cross-functionally with procurement logistics finance and tech teams. Operational & Process Orientation Exposure to SOP development process mapping and continuous improvement methodologies. Warehouse Management Capabilities Understanding stock replenishment cycles inventory turnover and shrinkage control. Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems (e.g. SAP) is a plus.
