Make a Difference
The Director of Nursing will oversee the main OR pre- and post-surgery pre-op clinic and Endoscopy at Community Hospital North. The Director will have an emphasis on strategic planning and business development clinical outcomes quality management and excellence in customer service. This position provides the leadership and direction to develop recommend and implement programs policies procedures and standards. The position reports to the VP of Nursing/Chief Nursing Executive of the hospital.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Applicants for this position should demonstrate effective communication skills with all levels of the organization verbally in writing and through technology such as dashboards and PowerPoint presentations.
- Bachelors Degree Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN) Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited school of nursing is required.
- Masters degree is strongly preferred.
- Either the Bachelors or the Masters must be in nursing.
- Three (3) or more years of progressive management/leadership experience required.
- Five (5) or more years of nursing experience required.
- Experience in surgery is strongly preferred.
- Current Indiana Registered Nurse License required.
- Certification in a relevant specialty or nursing administration is required within three (3) years of hire.
- Collaborates and builds effective relationships.
- Demonstrates strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Independently resolve problems plan strategically and think creatively and critically.
- Knowledge of best practices processes laws regulations tools and software with the subject matter of the position.
- Strong Analytical skills.
- Able to build motivate and lead a high-performing team.
